I've never thought of it like that. But I suppose it is a way to tell the world that you are there; that you exist. It simply isn't a tradition among my people.

[ Whether that's in general or with Dimitri specifically, who could say? ]

...Not that I plan on the end being anytime soon.

Neither do I. So let's resolve on that together.

[ He smiles. ]

We can't finish up until we've restored our world.

[wolfish]

Restored it and made it better, yeah?

[ He reaches a hand out across the table, over the fine tea service Dimitri had laid out, and waits expectantly. ]

[hauntedking]

Exactly.

[ He reaches out to take the offered hand and squeezes gently. He's still wary of his strength. ]

And then we can go home. Both of us.

[wolfish]

Right... And we'll better Fódlan too, won't we?

[ It won't be the same one, and they'll return to some other version of each other, but they have things they must do. In between, he'll try not to think about the reality that he'll miss this Dimitri, squeezing his hand back just as gently. ]

And in the meantime, I'll remind you now and then about your pretty eyes, since it makes you smile.

[ And his cheeks flush again. He laughs aloud, the sound filling the room. ]

Are you sure I should be the one worried about being accused of fancying someone, Yuri?

[ It's such a very pleasant sound, Yuri's smile softens for it.

Well. You certainly make me think things, then.

[ That's simultaneously comforting and a little off-putting. He doesn't know why. ]

A poet? Hardly. I'm just... ignorant of this form of art for the most part. I know almost nothing of it or what makes it beautiful.

Learning more about it seems as if it might be enlightening, in a way.

[wolfish]

That I like seeing you smile? Because that's true.

[hauntedking]

[ HE pauses and shakes his head with a laugh. ]

Maybe I should drop that for now.

[wolfish]

[ Though Yuri finds himself curious what Dimitri did mean, for all that he can't imagine it's the obvious, he supposes he's put the man on the spot more than enough times in a short period. ]

I don't know about should, but I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable.

[ Teasing is one thing, but if he put Dimitri in such a position, he wouldn't feel right about it. He does respect him, after all. ]

[hauntedking]

You don't, Yuri. Please rest reassured of that.

[ He smiles reassuringly. ]

If ever you do make me uncomfortable, I'll inform you.

[wolfish]

Good. [ A beat, and he adds: ] I'd want to know.

[ He cares about Dimitri, after all. It's just difficult to say it plainly. ]

That approach is admirable enough itself~ To be open to learning, rather than rejecting that which is unknown simply for that sake.

[She keeps doing it, as long as she is not stopped.]

Shall I show you mine? I am quite proud of them.

[hauntedking]

I would be interested in seeing them, yes.

[ He's still wary, but honestly this is surprisingly pleasant so far. ]

Learning new things is always rather enjoyable.

[wolfish]

[ He takes another sip of his tea, draining his cup. ]

And though I can't imagine you making me uncomfortable, I'd tell you too.

Then we're agreed and settled.

[ Dimitri chuckles. ]

[wolfish]

[ Yuri offers him a slant of a smile, sliding his cup and saucer over so they're within easier reach. ]

By all means. It's been a while since I've had well-brewed tea I didn't prepare myself. No bits floating around, even.

[ Dimitri knows he lives in Byleth's house; this explains everything. ]

I feel as if in person would have more of the desired impact, wouldn't it?
