[ And for good measure, he reaches up and cups Dimitri's face with both of his (warm) hands. ]

You truly are one of the least selfish people I've known, but you can well afford to be a little selfish with me.

Then I'll selfishly ask for another kiss.

[ Look, he can be clever. ]

[wolfish]

[ He sees what Dimitri did there, and he can't help smiling. ]

That, I'm pleased to provide.

[ And since Dimitri is leaned in close already, Yuri bridges the small gap between them with a gentle press of lips. ]

[hauntedking]

[ Dimitri leans into that second guess with a low sigh and embraces Yuri, pulling him closer. He cradles him almost reverently and just seems to bask in his presence.

Yes, their tea is definitely going to be over-steeped at this rate. ]

[wolfish]

[ Their tea is going to be too bitter to drink, but Yuri has admittedly forgotten all about it for the moment. He's more focused on Dimitri and his warmth, settling into their kiss with a soft hum.

It's a slow, languid thing, simply enjoying the feel of being close this way. ]

[hauntedking]

[ He really doesn't mind in the least. The kiss lingers - and then Dimitri slowly, slowly lets it deepen. His teeth scrape against his lower lip in a gentle little nibble. He's exploring - slow and gentle and easy. ]

[wolfish]

[ Gentle as it is, Yuri's breath still catches with the simple newness of it. He lets one hand drift down to rest on Dimitri's shoulder again, finding he wants to hold onto him but cautious to venture too far, and tips his head to better accommodate their deepening kiss. ]

[hauntedking]

[ Dimitri squeezes him a little closer as Yuri's breath catches and he makes a low sigh; he noses in close and his teeth drag. His hand splays against Yuri's back and then a little lower as temptation rushes through him. And only then does he tnetatively tease with the tip of his tongue.

He's done this before.

He's just not sure if it's too much, too fast. ]

[wolfish]

[ It's obvious to Yuri now that Dimitri's done this before, so perhaps he needn't have worried about somehow discomforting him. The realization is little more than a fleeting reflection, occupied as he is with Dimitri's wandering hand and the feel of his tongue against his lips.

The latter's furtive, he knows. Dimitri has done these things, but not with him, and in that sense it's different. Yuri obliges in parting his lips, one hand trailing down to press over that chest he's commented upon before, wordlessly trying to affirm that he needn't worry.

It's more of a kiss than he may have assumed, but he's not complaining. ]

[hauntedking]

[ Neither is Dimitri, to be fair. He has no complaints about this moment of quiet intimacy, tucked away as they are in a corner of his home. It helps ease his mind a great deal, in all honesty - he's needed something to be happy about in recent days.

Still, he breaks the kiss after a little longer, face flushed. ]

...I don't want to make things move... too quickly.

[ His previous experiences have, to be fair, been very fast-moving affairs... but maybe he wants this to be different? Whether because he thinks it's more unique or special or for some other reason. ]

...but I want you to know that I think you're very, very handsome. [ He is blushing all over again, oop. ]

[wolfish]

[ Yuri doesn't protest that parting, seeing the reason in it. He's only ever been involved with people he'd tolerated because of some arrangement. Some transaction. These varied in terms of detail, but all are wholeheartedly different from this — from Dimitri, who doesn't just want to get something out of him while pretending he's someone else.

A relationship, a real one, is a wholly different animal from his previous experience. And, he thinks, taking their time sounds nice. ]

Coming from you, that's incredibly flattering.

[ His own blush reinforces this as he spares a moment to kiss Dimitri's cheek. Brief, soft, and rife with affection. ]

You've always cut a gallant figure yourself. I want to think you'd know that, but I'm making sure you do.

[hauntedking]

Well, I've been told that before...

[ For a moment he just backs in the feeling of this newly-forged relationship and the butterflies (good ones) that come along with it. Then he seems to remember something and half turns to look at the tea. ]

...oh. I'll need to make a new pot. Or add sugar and milk.

[wolfish]

I'll have to come up with something you haven't heard.

[ In the meantime, Yuri follows his line of sight, reminded that the tea exists. By now, it most definitely is oversteeped. ]

I bet I could salvage that tea, sort of my strong suit... What kind did you prepare?

[hauntedking]

...it was a bit malty, normally.

[ Look, he can describe tastes now, beyond generalities. ]

I'm not entirely sure how to save it now.

[wolfish]

Malty...

[ He hums thoughtfully, then makes right for the pot. ]

There are a few methods we can try.

[ "We", because he suspects Dimitri would prefer to be included. Milk and sugar aren't wrong, but depending on how astringent it is... ]

[hauntedking]

Then I will stand by to learn from you... I think you've more experience than I.

[ And yes, he is very interested in participating. ]

[wolfish]

Oh, I'll be relying on you too. I don't know my way around your kitchen just yet.

[ Yet being the operative word, because he imagines he'll be over more often. ]

So where do you keep the sugar?

[ Ice and milk are easier to guess, as are cups. ]

[hauntedking]

The cupboard over there.

[ He gestures. ]

Do we need anything else?

[wolfish]

[ He follows Dimitri's indication, locating the sugar and setting it on the counter. ]

Ice and milk. Your instincts were good on this, really.

[ The ice will help them dilute the tea, making it less bitter without having to add as much milk and sugar, he reasons. ]

[hauntedking]

Very well.

[ The one thing he does like about this place is the cooling boxes they use... he reaches past Yuri to get some ice out of the icebox and then the milk. ]

Hopefully this will turn out better than anything I could do.

[wolfish]

[ Yuri pauses, considering that. ]

You're perfectly capable of doing this yourself...but we're collaborating, yeah?

[ Then he starts checking cupboards for glasses they can use. ]

[hauntedking]

You've certainly more experience than I, at any rate.

[ He cocks his head and then laughs and goes about retrieving what's needed. ]

But yes... whatever way I can help, I will.

[wolfish]

Oh, no doubt. Making unpalatable ingredients into something enjoyable is a valuable skill especially for the poor — Ashe is also quite capable in that department.

[ He's seen the knight redeem Flayn's early efforts at cooking, and that is itself a feat.

The man comes to mind as Yuri stations the glasses near the stove. How would he handle all of this, were he here? ]

Would you put ice in the cups here? About half full should do.

[hauntedking]

Of course.

[ The ice goes into the cups and Dimitri continues to speak, voice a bit fond. ]

...Ashe always does have a knack for that kind of thing. I wonder what he'd think of us now?

[wolfish]

[ Yuri hums, picking up the teapot to pour their cooled tea over the ice. ]

...He'd rib me mercilessly.

[ Absolutely, without a doubt, that. ]

He's always on me about my life choices, so I fancy he'd be pleased as well. But he'd give me a time first.
