[It is time. There is no reason to waste it. The earlier she gets this done the more information they'll have. At times like these she is glad. Thankful to be raised as a mage with the emphasis on unshakeable elegance. With no hint of farce in her sincerity she reaches out measured and sure—]

Mr. Blaiddyd, have I reached you? It's Ayako. Now that I have been here long enough to settle I have spent my efforts on a fitting gift. Please allow me to express my gratitude for how you saved me that night in Alenroux.

[hauntedking]

Ayako!

[ There's almost immediately a sense of warmth and friendliness. ]

I hadn't heard from you in a while and wasn't sure I would, but I'm glad to hear you've managed to settle in. You needn't thank me, I was simply doing what needed to be done.

[erbe]

[Usually Tohsaka would just take his overwhelming desire to help for granted, but right now it's being a pain. She'll definitely have to put her foot down.]

Please, Mr. Blaiddyd. As a matter of my pride, I implore you to allow me to do this. I would be quite shamed if you refused my hard work and sincere feelings.

[hauntedking]

Well, when you put it like that, I don't think I can refuse.

[ He pauses for a moment. ]

You may simply call me Dimitri. There's no need to be formal.

[erbe]

[Oh. That's her cue to fake a little delight.]

Very well, then! Dimitri it is. Since you saved me, I have crafted something I hope may return the favor to you some day. When can we meet?

[hauntedking]

I can certainly find some time later today. Are you in Springstar at the moment? There's a cafe I know of that might work.

[ He's not consciously trying to ask her on a date or anything, he's just not sure if she wants to come out to some sort of military drill ground. ]

[erbe]

Oh my, are you trying to turn this into a date? How bold!

[She'll let that sink in before:]

Unfortunately I don't believe a café would be appropriate. To demonstrate its abilities I would like to meet you in a more open space. Do you have a training spot where you're staying?

[hauntedking]

[ Ah! Dimitri tries to object to that, but- ]

Oh, no, you misunderstand - I apologize-

[ Well. Moving on. ]

There's a training ground I use, yes. I can give you the location. Although now I'm rather curious.

[erbe]

[Heheheheh. Red Devil has still got it.]

Oh, I do hope you like it. Though I dare not speak of its specifics until we meet. It's a gift after all! I would be remiss if I did not get to see the look on your face at the reveal.

Then I will look forward to our meeting. Shall we say this afternoon?

Absolutely! I shall meet you there. Where exactly is this place so that I may be properly prompt with my arrival?

[hauntedking]

Springstar. Let me give you the address...

[ The directions are relatively simple and the place won't be hard to find, in all honesty. ]

[erbe]

[NOOOOO SHE WANTED TO MEET HIM IN ALENROUX... Oh well. She's been in there more than once (thanks Gray) and she'll get in there again.]

[Though maybe she can con him into buying her lunch afterwards since he wanted to meet at a café. Con the man and get a meal out of it.]

[ Later on in the day, he's at the little training square, waiting. He's early, of course, because he worries about being late far too much. ]

Springstar → Action

[Tohsaka is actually just a wee bit early, but not early enough to beat Dimitri. Though she does dress quite light because it isn't often she allows herself over to Alenroux or Springstar anymore. Just an occasional visit, so this time in the sun is incredibly precious. Her arms are exposed, and the little red skirt she wears flutters about the tops of her thighs. Her thigh-high stockings are replaced with knee-socks, and her aspect tattoo shows quite clearly in this get up.]

Oh, you're already here. I hope I haven't kept you waiting.

[hauntedking]

[ Dimitri is dressed down a bit - high-waisted trousers and a flowing shirt that's been opened at the neck a little to let him breathe. For once he's not in armor. He offers Tohsaka a smile as she arrives. ]

Think nothing of it. I tend to be early so I'm not late!

[ He gives her a once-over. Red again. She does seem to like that color. ]

You're looking well. How have you been adjusting?

[erbe]

[That's right, let your eyes roam. Being able to soak in the sun is only but one of her many excuses to wear this outfit.]

Quite well, thank you. And I'm only able to because of you.

[Oh yeah, lay on that "I'm obligated to repay you" on real thick. Rin reaches into her pocket (yes the skirt has pockets) and fishes out a crescent brooch. Sapphires and diamonds cradled by silver and sparkling in the sunlight. She doesn't offer it to him just yet, but she does hold her palm open and upward so he can look upon it.]

I can do a little magic, so I placed a shielding spell on this brooch. I'm not very skilled or powerful, but I hope it can save you by buying you some time in a pinch.

[Hah. While "Ayako" may say she's not skilled, Tohsaka herself would brag quite a bit more. She's proud of this little ruse. The shielding spell means that if someone were to search for the brooch for being "magical" there is an explanation. Why is that little trinket filled with energy? Oh, just a protection spell. No big deal!]

Do you want me to show you how it works?

[hauntedking]

[ Come on, he's not being creepy about it. ]

Oh, you needn't have gone through all the trouble.

[ Dimitri holds his hand out to accept the brooch, his good eye sparkling. ]

It looks beautiful. Where did you find these gemstones?

[erbe]

Oh, Highstorm has a fascinating antiques market. Don't worry about this, though! I made sure it wasn't haunted before I picked it up. Here—

[Tohsaka places the brooch in his hand, but she gestures to the training grounds.]

Why don't you set it somewhere and try to throw something at it? I promise it'll be fine.

[hauntedking]

Well, alright. If you're sure...

[ He seems a little amused. He takes the brooch and paces out into the field and sets it down and then returns, grabbing a spear from the weapon's rack as he does. He gives her a brief nod and then gives a bit of a running hop and sends the spear racing through the air at his new target! ]

[erbe]

[Tohsaka puts her hand on her hip as she watches the lance go hurtling through the air. Its piercing tip hits what seems to be an invisible barrier and is repelled away. Now, Tohsaka doesn't want this to be fool-proof. She didn't actually put much power into making the shield because she doesn't really, truly care about Dimitri's safety. But she did put enough in there to make a decent showing of it being a protective charm.

The smile on her face is a tad smug with a hint of pride.]

[hauntedking]

Oh, well done-!

[ Dimitri seems genuinely impressed as he trots over to pick up the fallen spear so he can replace it on the rack. Likewise he scoops up the brooch. He returns to her with a smile. ]

I'm sure this will help me in the future, Ayako. You went through a great deal of effort for me... I appreciate it.

[erbe]

[Okay, okay! Time to put on the cute little lady act. Time to precious and demure and—]

I'm glad that you do, Dimitri. I spent a lot of time trying to find something that looked like it suit you. The sapphires match your eyes, and since we met at night I felt the crescent moon shape was appropriate. Since you seem to be a front-lines type of man I hope it can be of some use to you.

[She allows her words to settle between them. Her inflection that of a young woman swelling with excitement that her present is well received.]

Did... you still want to visit that café? I didn't bring any money with me, but I could offer you my company.

[hauntedking]

You've certainly put a lot of thought into it. I'll hold onto and keep it close.

[ How could he do anything else? He offers a slight bow to her. ]

If you'd like, I'd be happy to accompany you. We didn't much chance to speak on Alenroux and I imagine it would be good to find out a little more about one another. Especially if we end up working with one another in the future.

Work together? Goodness! I'm not sure how much help I would be aside from little magecraft and small sciences. Have you always preferred the lance?

[Tohsaka dips her head a little to return his bow before falling inline next to him. Goodness, he's so... big. Are Dimitri and Dark the same size? No. One might be bigger than the other, but from her vantage point it's hard to tell. She's always looking up... and up... and up. Either way, she makes sure to always turn the conversation back on him as he leads them to the restaurant.]
